Day 14

Day 14
September 21

Today was another early start.  I left Dubois just as it was getting light with a light breeze from the north west making for a fast and picturesque morning.  The road followed along the Wind River for hour or two but eventually turns south into the arid open prairie of southern Wyoming.  The tail wind stayed with me most of the day so my speed was good and made good time today.  I saw quite a few prong horn antelope and the occasional cow or horse which I usually say hi to as I’m riding by.  They are not very friendly as they just stare back at me.   I met Marilyn along the roadside in the RV for lunch.  When I came out from lunch I realized that my rear tire had split open.  So a quick tire and tube change then back on the road for the final push to Lander.  We arrived at our camp site in Lander with plenty of time to unwind and prepare for a long day tomorrow.  Praying for favorable winds again tomorrow and planning another very early start.
